These are, as others have noted, not the finest quality plant stands. They are, however, durable and cheap. Assembly is a little challenging because the manufacturing tolerances were pretty loose, so a lot of times I ended up just forcing the pieces together. One of the end caps (I ordered two) arrived without the middle bottom leg, but it's staying up just fine without it (I've got orchids on it so nothing too heavy). One screw hole was just to weirdly placed to fit the screw, but also not in a critical spot.The decorative curled metal is just screwed on so you can leave it off. If you do attach it, you will have to bend it to meet the screw holes. This was pretty easy.Once assembled, the stands are sturdy, the curlicues don't get in the way of putting plants on the shelves, and they nicely disappear behind the plants. For the price, I am quite happy with these.You can't expect perfection for the price and if you don't, you should be happy. This is my second order of this item, and I use the shelves for displaying bonsai. I chose to leave the decorative swirled wire edging off of my shelves. This item didn't come with instructions, but it was pretty easy to figure out, and went together in under 10 minutes. My first unit has sat outside for about 1.5 years, and looks great. No graying of powdercoating, and no visible rust. It would be a bit more reasonable if these were under fifty dollars, but they aren't overpriced at their current amount. It's relatively small, smaller that you would guess based on the pic, so be sure to study the dimensions carefully to make sure that it meets your needs. Don't expect perfection and you likely won't be disappointed.I have purchased two of these, a year apart. The first one was perfect. Instructions, everything was easily put together.The second one came without instructions. From looking at the first one, I was able to put it together. However, the screw holes for the top platform were a bit too large, and as a result the screws just fell out when screwing them in. I ended up using super glue on the threads.It's a nice unit, if you get a good one. Typical Made in China stuff I guess? If you really like/want this, I recommend being patient, and returning it until you get a good one.Slightly unhappy with the product. Some of the decorative scrollwork was bent We were able to straighten it out, but it took time and patience. There were also a couple of scratches. We you he'd up with paint. It is a good fit and my plants look nice on the stand.The stand looks nice in its completed form. I can't give it 4 or 5 stars due to packaging issues. The box arrived and looked like it was run over by a truck and appeared to have been previously opened. The instructions were wadded up into a crumpled ball inside. The decorative contents were bent and needed to be bent back into place. If I had bought it locally, I would have returned it for a replacement. One downside to buying a gift through the mail. Some of the bolts were tough to install and required some strength to get the parts into position to screw in the bolts. The end product seems sturdy enough and looks good.Love the finished product but it is very difficult to put together. I usually put everything together by myself but this plant stand definitely needs 2 people. It was frustrating to line the parts up because the iron is very heavy, but its a very sturdy product and it looks great.It's beautiful and sturdy and I love that it fits in the corner . I was furious that there were no directions. Not even a picture. I had to grab my IPhone, pull up a picture of this item Amazon and then put it together. It goes together easy but there is no reason they couldn't put some sort of diagram in the box.Good quality. Smaller that what I thought it would be. Only complaint is that it did not have assembly instructions. Was able to figure it out on my own rather easily but someone not as experienced with such things may have issues
