I dunno why the negative comments. I had a long discussion with the CEO of Quality Chain Corp who makes these and decided to get some. I have two sets, one for my truck and one for my big enclosed snowmobile trailer. I've used them once so far. They performed very well, and California accepted them in lieu of real chains. There was no visible wear on them when I was done with them and I was driving on a mixture of snow and ice. These are a great way to deal with chain controls in California, since they're easy to put on and remove and don't destroy your vehicle like chains can.
