received this item this morning. The mirror came packed in a box with packing paper around it....loose. No formed styrofoam, no factory packaging, no instructions. The mounting hardware was bouncing around loose in the box. The finish is painted on, it is NOT a plating of any kind. The finish is more of a pewter than the Satin Nickel shown in the picture. The arms of the mirror are the same length so the mirror will not fold flat against the wall. Only time will tell how long this Chinese knock-off will last. If the packaging is any indication...probably not long. If this was for a bathroom that got "regular" use, I would be sending it back. But for $43, we will give it a go. Obviously, the REAL Allied Brass mirrors go for $200 more...and the list above is probably the reason.
