When I bought a netbook, I stopped carting my 7+ pound laptop around and decided to "park" it for good. This puts the screen at the perfect height. It's true that in the stand, you can't get to buttons on the front of the laptop but the handy Logitech "function" keys that let you easily control DVD playback, sound mute/volume, and provide one-key access to e-mail, internet, etc., make that not a problem for my Dell (only DVD controls on the front bezel). Also with my Dell the speakers (crummy though they may be) are located next to the keyboard and the height and angle that this stand places them actually makes them sound (a little) better. The three extra USB ports are handy although you effectively get only two if you permanently use one to plug in a wireless mouse. (And why wouldn't you?)I like the feel of the keyboard--no adjustment problems--and I've permanently retired the USB number keypad I plugged in to do financial work. I'm very happy about that.Bottom line, if you have a workspace where this particular screen height works (just look at the picture--it's accurate), you have access to an extra outlet to power the USB ports, and you don't need access to the front of your machine, this thing is great.
