They are worth the money. Great size and have a weight to them so the doll does not fall over.I bought this stand after returning lower quality ones. This stand is pricier than other options but we'll worth the extra money! Sturdy, ready to use, and much nicer to look at!While I don't collect dolls, I do collect animals skulls. I bought this stand with the intention of using it to hold up a small roe deer skull. I used the part that wraps around the dolls waist and slid it inside the cranium - it works perfectly and holds the skull with no wobbling. It is a classy looking stand that looks like it cost way more than it does.All in all it's a great doll stand very sturdy looks great, it's just too tall for what I wanted it for as it holds my vintage Barbie to high and with her feet an inch or so off the base of the stand so I'm gonna have to cut an inch off the bottom of the doll holder, great to hold dolls, too tall for barbie's all in all 4 starLove the way it stays balanced and doesn't tip over when holding a doll! The base is secured with the rod fitting into the base and then attached to a screw from the bottom so it does not bend.Bought it for daughter's American girl doll. Need to assemble, but it's much better than metal base one.I purchased this to hold up an antique shoe form to use as a doorstop. I made it work!
