I was amazed at how well this smaller version of the Kitchenaid Artisan mixed even my large batch of M&M Cookie recipe of 5 dozen this past week. The smaller size of the mixer was perfect for my very, narrow countertop as I am no longer able to lift the larger mixer up from the under cabinets to the work surface. I was also impressed with the new paddle style and how it scrapes the sides of the mixer bowl while mixing.I do have one complaint though, thus the reason for 4 stars. I had a very hard time sliding the speed dial. I found it took me using both hands and most of my strength to move the speed slide at all. I am hoping this issue will resolve itself in time as I use the mixer more this fall. I would hate to have to call my husband every time I need to change the speed or turn the mixer on and off when I am baking.I bought this for myself, as my old mixer was 50 years old and needed to be replaced. I have used it several times and love it. Several friends and family members had highly recommended it. I was not disappointed. It's just the right size for cakes and cookies. My sister owns the larger, and heavier one and she wishes that she had this one instead. Thanks.I have wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer for years. I love the look and also the idea of being able to multitask in the kitchen instead of holding onto a hand mixer the entire time. My kitchen is smaller with limited counter space so the larger version of the stand mixer would barely fit under my cabinets. I saw this advertised on Prime day and was ecstatic to see this smaller version. It just arrived today and I have already unboxed it and used it to make my “famous” oatmeal cookies. It works Iike an absolute dream and I am officially smitten ?. It fits beautifully on my counter and under the cabinets. It’s slightly larger than our Nespresso Vertuo machine as a comparison. I bake my own bread from scratch and am going to try out the dough hook tomorrow. Totally worth the investment. I am thinking of purchasing the glass bowl too. IMHO this version is plenty for a small household and is easy to move, not heavy at all.I hesitated buying one of these mixers for a long time, thinking “who needs fattening baked goods”, but the Prime Day price was a deal too good to pass up. This mixer is very compact and convenient. It even comes with a dough hook. A great deal, and so far I’ve mixed up only a few fattening baked goods. This mini Kitchen-aid mixer is perfect for me. I don’t have a lot of counter space so this size is just right. Does everything the larger size does. I love it !!This is a great product, not much left to say that was not said before. Sorry I did not buy the bigger version. It is wonderful for smaller batches of, well anything. It has the same workings and appears to be just as good kitchen work horse!I am extreme happy and say this is worth it's price!Only issue was (for folks that already have the larger mixer and adding a small one):I had to buy new version of meat grinder and veggie shredder. (but they work on both my Pro600 and this mixer and are better anyway. Its so much smaller than my old one, but still works great. It's nice that it takes up less space! I have to be more careful to not think I can mix as much as I used to because I'll have a mess, but that's just common sense and I'm getting used to it. Great little machine!!!This item ordered in the UK arrived with US plug and not as displayed.Total disappointment. had to return the item immediately on same day (luckily it arrived on a Saturday) but the money ££££ not returned yet after one week has passed. This is a reflection on Amazon that is no longer serving its customers as it started at the beginning. Perhaps it is getting too big and I should start shopping elsewhere! La amo!the mixer is great but we did not get all the accessories. description Includes stainless steel bowl, wire whisk, flat beater, dough hook and bonus flex edge beater. we did not get the flat beater. i dint have a way to contact amazon right now as their call center is shut down. i hope that after this comment Someone can assist us. thank youWorks very well as advertised. I like to do cookies in batches that are usually around 24 to 36 and it seems to be around the perfect size for that. I also made a massive cake – three layers end with this mixer. That nearly took it to the limit, but it worked. The look as attractive, build quality is excellent, and functionality a welcome addition addition to my kitchen. The mixer is amazing but it came missing two parts of four mentioned in description. It says "Includes wire whisk, flat beater, dough hook and bonus flex edge beater; " but it is missing the wire whisk and the flat beater.
