The cover has a built in elastic cord sewn around the edge of the fabric which allows the cover to form around many board shapes. I have the 10'6 to 12' cover on my 10'6 VESL SurfSup that is 34" wide with no problems. On highway speeds there is little noise from the excess fabric. The down side is (1) cost: a custom bag at your local farmers market will cost an you an extra $20. (2) fin opening: the fabric stretches and exposes a lot of the board surrounding the center fin. This can be solved by stuffing in two wash clothes around the opening. Also there is no option to close the opening if you are using a 3 - 5 fin setup without a large Center fin. I will most likely have my local tailor sew the opening closed since I dont use a large center tail fin. This isn't a deal breaker but it does add to the total cost.
