Well here is my experience with this product and the people selling it.Let me start by saying that if you know anything about LED then you know this light is just as good as "high end" light fixtures like california lightwoks and timber grow lights and actually uses many of the same components like Cree for the COB and I believe either Bridglux or epistar for the rest, correct me if I'm wrong. I think the drivers are meanwell also so all together this is literally going to outperform light fixtures that cost in the thousands. If you start looking around at these "high end" fixtures you will see that there are fixtures out there that are only around 400 true watts that are priced between $1k - $2k!That being said I have some issues. I purchased mine back in May at the end of my last indoor grow before switching to outdoor. I only used it for about a week at the end of that grow so did not feel comfortable giving a review. The light was taken down and stored safely in a closet for about 6 months until I started another indoor grow in November. The light was used on the new grow for roughly 2 weeks and then about 1/4 of the non-cob led's went out. I know enough about LED's that I was confident I could fix it since it was going to be either an issue with soddering/wiring or a faulty led/driver in that strand. Thing is my LED working stuff is packed away somewhere and with the Holidays I don't have time to fix it.I contacted PHLIZON and let them know that the light was having issues but that even so I still could not really take it off the grow until I had another light to replace it with and wasn't sure if their return policy allowed for them to send me a new one before me sending them the old one. They said no worries and that they understood the situation and that they were sending me a new one and would send me a shipping label for the old one. At that point I was thinking "wow, cool, that worked out great, what good customer service!"UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS NOT THAT SIMPLE.On the 24th they tell me the new light has been shipped and also email me a shipping label to send the old one back. They say the package is scheduled to arrive on the 29th. They then say the shipping label is only good for 5 days so literally until the same day the package arrives. Already this is a potential problem; packages/mail does not arrive at my house until well into the evening around 5-6 which is just as the shipping centers in my area are closing. So I already can see that unless mail is miraculously running way early on the day after Thanksgiving then I am going to be S.O.L. In addition I have to take the day off of work anyway because I cant risk the package sitting on my porch for any amount of time.Wanting to prepare for worst case scenario I let them know that I was worried about what to do in case that is what happened and all the sudden we start having ridiculous communication issues. They could understand me just fine before but now all the sudden they cant understand what I'm trying to tell them; that there is a pretty good chance the shipping label might expire before I get a chance to return the old light. Finally after 3-4 tries, wording it several different ways, they get what I'm trying to say and tell me actually the shipping label will be good until the 30th but that they now want me to return the old light ASAP. That seems really weird that its expiration date just got extended by 24 hours but hey cool what luck! But the fact that they all the sudden had changed their tune about me returning the old light when I got the new one was a bit of a red flag. I decided to just ignore it.Well now I just have to keep my eye on the package tracker and the rest of the process should be easy ,right? WRONG.The tracking number they gave me never worked until the day the product was "out for delivery" in my town. Every time I looked it said that USPS didn't have the package yet, that they were awaiting it. I let PHLIZON know this on Thanksgiving and let them know that I was worried how it was going to arrive the next day or even the 30th if it hadn't even been shipped yet. They let me know that it was an error and that the tracking number showed the package in transit on their end and that it was running on time. They again insisted that I need to return the old one ASAP.Skeptical and wanting to cover my bases, I asked them again just in case what to expect if the light does not arrive on time before the shipping label expires, will they send me a new one? With the holidays I can not really afford to ship a 30lb package to BFE.Finally they seem to get what I am asking and inform me that if the package arrives late then I am S.O.L and they will not be sending me another shipping label. Again they insisted that I need to return the old light ASAP like NOW.It wasn't until this point that I really began to realize that when they said ASAP they didn't mean ASAP after the new light arrived, they were wanting me to take the light off my grow, send my plants into bloom, and just screw off my whole grow so that I could get the light shipped back to them before the shipping label expired. This is after initially telling me the understood about not being able to take the light off my grow until I had a new one. They also told me that if I didn't send the light back before the shipping label expired that I would not be entitled to my remaining year of warranty, which is another red flag because quite frankly every product that I have ever owned that has a warranty that warranty is renewed if the product needs to be fully replaced. Why would my new light not have a 2 year warranty? In the end yes the light arrived on the 29th and everything turned out alright, so why am I still urked about it?1)They changed their tune, went from saying they understood about not being able to return the light to suddenly wanting me to take it off my grow, they didn't even care if I ruined my grow they just wanted the old light back ASAP.2)This is coming from people who are supposed to have an understanding of plants. They either have no understanding of plants or else really just DGAF. Neither one is a good thing.3) They sent me the shipping label way to early leaving no room for flexibility whatsoever. They could have emailed it to me several days later and avoided me having to pester them about exactly what was going to happen if the package was late. This is the holiday season, packages are not always on time. If the package had been one day late that would have really screwed me over and their only solution for that was to screw over my grow so that I could return the light before the label expired.4) I owned the light for about 6 months but it only saw a total of 3 weeks use before going out. I guess that's abnormal and nobody else seems to have had that issue but its still a factor.5) The warranty didn't renew on the new light. If you need to replace your light with a completely new unit then that new unit piggybacks off the warranty of the old one. I have owned plenty of products with a warranty that renewed if the product needed to be completely replaced. If a newly purchased unit is guaranteed to be good for 2 years then why wouldn't a freshly replaced one? Kind of sketchy.5) Yeah it worked out but it was 1 step away from not, and the whole process was full of drama and worry that I could have really done without, especially during the holiday season.have had the 2000w cob running for a couple of days now in a 4x4 tent along with a 1200w Phlizon....had another off brand 1200w along with the Phlizon 1200w that lost veg panel on one side that the 2000w cob replaced.....with the 1200w on veg only and the 2000w cob on veg/bloom with the cobs on as well really lights up the tent....my plants seem to be loving it.....the grow rate seems to have deff picked up in only a couple days.....its getting chilly here so the heat is not really a prob.....i maintain a temp of between 72 and 76 degrees f. but i can see there will deff be more circulation needed when summer rolls back around or if we have a serious warm spell before it gets colder....so far a good light over all and it does appear to me that the 2000w cob light is capable of doing a good job of being the only light in the 4x4 tentI love this fixture . This is my second one I purchased..I got the 3000W. First, I will say the claim that the 3000W has a grow area of 4.2 x 4.2 is perhaps a tiny bit generous. I have it in a 5 x 5 and while I 100% understand that that is too big for this light exactly as claimed, I expected a slightly better coverage area. The light itself is less that 2' x 2' and the light is extremely directional. Coming from HID, this was a disappointment. I WAS expecting this, but again, was hoping for more. Because there doesn't seem to be a good single light solution for a 5' x 5', I guess I'm buying another. None of this is really a shot against this Phlizon, though. But, I'd be happier if I didn't have to spend $700, just to cover 25 sqft. The short - You won't find another LED light with these tech specs for this price in many other places. Quality control and support leaves a lot to be desired and units don't appear to be stress tested against themselves.I've worked in the cultivation industry for over a decade, and a not insignificant portion of that time was as a consultant through grow shops. I have seen, used, and sold many many different lighting options over the years and I've watched LEDs grow from an overhyped, not yet performing tech with a gatekeepers price tag, into the fully viable and broadly accessible platforms there are today. This light has incredibly impressive lighting output and variety of frequency wavelengths. That can't be understated. My plants have loved the COBs and my eyes have loved the rescue from harshe blurple. They seem sturdily built in a physical sense. However in running the unit for 7 months, two COBs cracked (currently up to THREE) under the stress of the units own heat output. Properly ventilated tent. The company responded that I was outside of the 6 month warranty. They offered the purchase of a replacement part or a new unit at a significant reduction. I took the new unit to not be out a light during repair. The new unit arrived and 1/4 panel of the diode grid was DEAD! Contacted the company, and I admit it sat in the box a while before I was able to switch it out, but it's been crickets. The real kicker was that just before I tested the new unit, I actually had purchased two of their smaller lights as I was confident enough in their response that I had been unlucky! So I'm now about $500 invested in the big ones, one of which is half missing COBs, the other is 1/4 missing diodes. My professional recommendation would be1. pick up CMH/LEC tech for the same price and don't look back. It'll outperform anything in this price range.2. Double your money and invest in something that will last and has the support structure built around it to help when it does fail. They all will, we work them hard - the timing and longevity is what we judge on, not necessarily the fail.3. Acknowledge all of this and realize that you'll have a killer LED for a fraction of the price, that you CAN repair, IF you can track your own components, WHEN it fails on you far before it should.Very large and bulky, heats up my entire apartment. Puts out a good amount of light, however my plants still grew towards the sliver of natural sunlight that they got in the daytime. I wish there was an option to turn down the light output without turning off the system.I plugged this into a kill-a-watt meter to measure draw and came up with readings of about 580watt, constantly. not impressed as this falls like 50watt short of what was advertised (630w actual). Contacted Phlizon to see if i received a defective unit or what, will update when i get an answer from them.**Update**Was in contact with phlizon, it was like talking to a politician. They told me they had "Improved" the lights by reducing its power from 630 to 580-600watt to extend the life of the drivers because they had "reports" that they were being overloaded / failing, they told me i had the "new" 600w model with reduced power / extended life even tho it clearly has a sticker on it claiming 630watts. Phlizon has only offered its apologies for the "misunderstanding" and "inconvenience". You are sorry i misunderstood that you would intentionally falsely market / promote this item for sale based on specific claims that are not accurate or true? I don't feel "inconvenienced" Phlizon, I feel slightly ripped off.***Week 4 Flower Update***Besides all that, low attenuation is an understatement.. there is little to no spread with this light. It shoots straight laser beams in the center and its like nobody is home on the sides & corners. Corners are really dark in a 4x4, even with the light 4" .. yes 4" away from the TOP of a standard 6ft 4x4. The spectrum seems OK and plants are doing fine in week 4 of flower but overall this light is horribly designed as the footprint and light coverage it delivers is embarrassing to say the least. Plants with low light on the sides and corners reaching excessively, constantly needing training. This light just really does not make efficient use of its power draw or an entire grow space(4x4) which I attribute to its ridiculously uneven light coverage/spread. All in all, I would not recommend this unit.& Anyone who has bought one of these 3000W models, or any model for that matter.. is likely getting less then what they paid for, Beware, this company seems to focus on sneaky marketing tactics & operating with little to no integrity.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SELLER OR THEIR PRODUCTS.This light is no joke. Very bright, solid and well built. just into second week of flowering, the plants are just exploding with this beauty along side a couple other Phlizon lights.Over all very happy with Phlizon lights. I own 4 of them, the 2000w COB being the latest purchase. I'll be buying another as soon as i can..Edit: update: ended up getting one more 2000w COB and then a 3000w COB.Quite unreal how fast my plants are flowering. i'm in week 4 of flower and the buds are already about the size as they were at finish last time. i actually feel like i could have just used the 2x 2000w COBs if i wanted to.Heat is easily under control with these baby's.these lights are amazing.Edit.. bought another. Definitely need the glasses now.Edit 2. the Phlizon tent is rocking with about 2 weeks to go on this round.Great light very powerfullUPDATE: I am no in flower and I bought 2nd 1000w for my 3x3. The 2nd one will arrive Tuesday for maximum coverage in my 3x3 tent. This is the best compromise of price and light output currently; if you find something better please let me know I looked around a little. The permiter of my 3x3 is not as dense as the middle, (which I expected), so the 2nd light will fix this. That being said, this was my first grow in a while and I did not train the plants or keep the canopy as optimal as it could have been. The 2nd light will let me grow higher yields with less training. My only concern now is the temperature. I have my ventilation on max and my AC running in the room. It still gets to 28C with a single 1000w.**********************************************************************************************************************************I first bought the 2000w version for my 3'x'3 tent. It was actually TOO powerful. I checked the light meter and returned it because I was worried about bleaching my plants in such a small area.Currently have a single 1000w version. Working great. I will likely buy a 2nd 1000w for flowering. IMO for my setup 2 1000w boards are better coverage than the 2000w beast.I did a lot of research before buying the panel. I am an ECE guy in semiconductor industry and decided to price out the cree cobs and leds and power supplies for a DIY light. Honestly I could save a few bucks this way and get very similar results. But then I have to buy a heat sync, wires, solder, etc. Also all my soldering stuff is currently in storage... At the end of the day for 1 or 2 units I am not saving a whole lot of cash going the DIY way. If I were making 10-20 panels then I'd consider this route. But this idea here is hobby grow, stop paying OCS for crap. This setup will ensure I never pay tax on my weed again.Overall my only complaint is the flimsy hanging kit, which the Phlizon rep said they would send me a 2nd one to split the load. They seem to understand the Amazon market is about reviews and respond quickly which is nice.I will post youtube videos later with my grow journal. Also it is loud when its on, but so is my ventilation system. The panel does not run hot, but the lights do warm up the tent. Conclusion: Do not spend 500+ bucks at a grow store for an LED panel for a hobby grow. They are still made in china. You are not going to notice that much of a difference in a hobby grow for personal use.First impressions of the Phlizon PH-GD-2000 COB Series LED- it is a well produced and powerful lighting appliance. It runs very cool compared to MH/HPS and other LED lights that I have used. This light puts out 250 PAR at 3 feet above the canopy(without the COBs turned on), with the COBs turned on the PAR jumps from 250 to 470 at 3 feet above canopy. I highly recommend this light to anyone wishing to own a powerful light at a terrific price point. Should any issues arise I will make additional comments in the future.
