DESCRIPTION
Compatible with 1996 and up DR650SE. Soupy’s Adjustable Kickstand Lowering Side Stands are CNC machined from solid aluminum and use stainless steel hardware. Adjustable from stock length to 3 inches shorter and the strongest and most stylish available. There are a number of different lengths to choose from. The foot has a radius that accommodates all different lean angles. If your motorcycle is lowered, the frame is closer to the ground. The kickstand is mounted to the frame and needs to be shorter to retain the lean angle required to prevent the motorcycle from standing too upright or tipping over. This is a direct bolt-on item. Simply replace your stock kickstand with this, adjust to your desired length, apply thread locker and tighten screws. Designed for use with the factory kickstand spring and safety switch. This product is a great companion for our lowering kits. Pictures are for reference only, you will receive the correct kickstand for your application. We also offer an oversize kickstand foot found here.

My DR650 was lowered about 3 inches when I got it used and the short kickstand was perfect. I took the bike to the shop to get it raised up to stock height and I bought a stock kickstand to replace my shorty. However since the bike had the factory lowering kit installed it was still 1inch + lower than stock after the shop adjusted it up. So, my bike/seat height is about 33". In the middle between stock(34.8") and the lowest(31.8").I had the stock kick stand on and the bike stood almost vertical on the stand. Not enough lean to the point i was nervous to park it because a light bump could knock it over to the right. So then I put the short stand on and it REALLY leaned over, so much that I was nervous parking on dirt and uneven surfaces. So i got this stand and adjusted it to about halfway between the short/stock stands and PERFECTION.Now I have 3 stands.BTW i used a ratchet strap attached to the left side of the bike frame, ran over the seat and attached to my truck parked on the right side to pull the bike off the stand and hold the bike while I was installing the stand TOPTIP if you have no stand/jack. Just let the bike lean on the strap, shouldn't go any where.
