You receive a long piece of fabric that can be tied in different ways, so a standard sarong's material. However, the pattern I received was nothing like the ones pictured. It was rather plain and looked like a shoddy tye-dye job. It was a sarong in terms of material, but not so much in terms of the pattern. They specify that the pattern you receive will vary, so maybe I just lucked out.But it is what it is. The quality of the material was standard, not bad but nothing that exceed expectations. You will need to have prior knowledge of how to tie one or purchase one of those clips that assists with this. There's enough material to do many things, so that was a big plus as some sarongs tend to be kind of short. For the price, it's a good value if you just want to have a sarong and are not picky about the pattern. But if you want to have just one sarong to be your go to item, I suggest specifying a pattern that you want to the seller.I bought this to see if it would work as a cool shower wrap to tie on in our hot Georgia summer. It does! Also works as a skirt over a swim suit, a shawl, a scarf, and even a very light blanket. The fabric's drape makes for effortless elegance. The sarong can literally be folded up and put into a 10" x 13" envelope. Talk about packable!I am very tall for a woman, and a size 12. No problem tying it so that it covers me modestly (for a shower wrap). Check out the "1 World" web site for their plus size sarongs. I think I'm going to put one on my wish list for uses when I want more coverage.Now I'm asking myself why everyone doesn't wear these things all the time. I can see me as an eccentric old lady with nothing but a wardrobe of colorful sarongs. Definitely worth $9.99 to try one.I opted for the grab bag after spending a good twenty minutes not being able to decide on which sarong to purchase for my upcmoing trip to Mexico. I typically don't like being surprised, so I attempted to play it somewhat safe by choosing "purple grab bag." I liked all of the pictures that had online but of course the one I received was very different. Its definitely purple, and its definitely good quality. I'm sure it would be beautiful to someone, but its not my favorite. I know its hard to please someone you don't know anything about, which is why I'm still giving this 5 stars. It's a fun idea, and really a great product. Keep in mind, though, purchasing anything without seeing it is a gamble. I probably would have been happier choosing the exact one I wanted, but all in all I'm a happy customer and will have a new purple sarong to wear on the beach! =)Bought this on 4/21 and was expected to arrive between 4/25~4/30th, but actually arrived on the 23rd at 6:40am! It was a nice surprise. I like surprises so I thought the grab bag surprise idea was good. The only color I dont like is purple and I selected the surprise option hoping it would be any other color besides purple, and of all colors the one that I got is dark purple... but I don't expect them to read my mind and know what colors I like and I dont ;) But I actually really like it because it has large pink and yellow flowers on the purple with white and black stripes, and actually matches my swimsuit very well. Considering how much I dont like purple I still love this sarong, the material, size, weight, and the design. This is probably the only purple thing I own that I actually really like. I'm impressed!Got this to go with a swimsuit. I picked the blue hue grab bag. The item I got was a beautiful blue tie dye with darker floral pattern and the fringe. It came with a pretty multi- colored shell bracelet that I am definitely going to wear! Great price for a great product! The fabric is very soft and actually bigger than I thought it would be. I am a size 12-14 so I wasn't sure if it would fit but it does! It's a little too long for me at 5'2 but it will work. If you are a full sized girl wanting to not waste your time ordering something that wont fit this is your sarong! I love this item! Very happy with the item that was picked for me!This is my second sarong I have purchased, I live in Miami and love to wear these around the house. I will definitely buying more, I love the choice of colors and prints. I am 5'8" 165 lbs and can't tie them as shown around the back of the neck, so I tie them in front or wear a skirt with a top. Very cool rayon in this heat of summer.Received a beautiful black and blue sarong with fringe. The background is black with royal blue flowers. I am size 14 bottom, large in tops, pear shaped woman. I can fit it around my waist and knot it up. I can also wear it as a dress if I wrap it around my chest. It isn't big enough to wear in styles that wrap around my neck.I volunteered to take the "surprise" since I liked most of the ones shown and reviews were favorable; however, it wasn't my day. I ordered two thinking one of them would be good. Well, one of them is okay and might go with one of my swimsuits. Did not like the other one AT ALL......almost all white with a little bit of yellow. Was hoping for the batik type ones or an animal print one. Maybe the "picker" / "grabber" was having a bad day when they were grabbing them out of the bag. Oh, well.......
