I would have to say three stars. This is based off of the service I received, rather than the product itself. If you are looking for a long lasting product, I wouldn't recommend this. I went to the Electric Run in Portland and this is what I wore. It was very easy to smear, so I couldn't sit back much in the car. I would recommend putting a powder of some kind to keep the clear lines and shapes. As far as the glow, I didn't really notice it at all. Maybe if you were at a lazer tag place, it might be better. I don't know. I didn't have a black light at my house to test it properly. As far as the company, I was very satisfied on their customer service. I sent them an email with shipping questions and they got back to me within a matter of hours, and the reply was very personal, meaning that it wasn't just an automatic, default message sent with my name pasted in. They were also able to get my package to me in the quickest manner possible with general shipping, so my worries that it wouldn't arrive on time were unfounded. I was very happy with the service and would recommend buying from this company, but maybe not this product if you are doing an outdoor blacklight activity like I was. However, the paint sticks work well as body paint, especially the black make-up stick which makes really crisp lines and is pretty dark in tone!Hope this helps someone!I do the makeup for a Haunted Barn run by the local Lions club. This year, the barn would be completely lit by UV light, and would take advantage of 3D effects. There are 3-4 faces I would need to makeup four times, so I didn't need large quantities of UV-reactive makeup. These Neon/Blacklight FC Make-Up Stix seemed to be the correct solution between quantity and price. Our opening night, I excitedly made up the faces for three key live displays and was saddened when the makeup barely glowed under the UV lights. It was a very faint glow, making it impossible to see the faces from more than 2-3 feet away - a very dim contrast to the very brightly glowing effects painted on the walls and floors. We're not talking those cheap incandescent black-light bulbs either; these are 40w Fluorescent tubes that line all the walls and pathways of the Barn, about 7' from the ground. Even standing directly under a bulb did not make the makeup glow any brighter. Needless to say, what could have been an outstanding effect was little more than a "meh" as our patrons walked past. The second night, I ended up scrapping these neon stix and used a very high-pigment water-based latex paint over powdered clown white which gave us the brightness we wanted, but looked streaky. If you're looking for ultra-bright UV makeup, I would pass this product by. If you can afford it, there are better products of a professional quality that are much more expensive, but will give better results. I'm budgeting for that next year. These black light sticks were fun, though they did break almost immediately. They're fairly delicate, so you can press down too hard with them when drawing on your design. And they glowed really well underneath the black light, but only if you were directly up underneath one. I was hoping it would pick up from more of a distance, but it didn't. But when directly underneath a black light, it looked awesome! So, I was pleased with the product, but not quite as much as I was hoping to be.This is exactly what I was looking for, was a little bit hard to apply to the skin but I am happy overall.I bought this make up for a black light photo shoot I was doing. The make up sticks did not show up very bright at all (I'm a fair skinned caucasian) and it was difficult to make the coloring thick or dark on the skin. The make up was not nearly as vibrant as the photos on the package looked, which makes me think the photos on the package used some sort of glowing paint and not the actual make up sticks being advertised. Very disappointing. Overall I did not like the result of the make up sticks and will be searching for more neon/black light body paint to show up better under a black light. They're cheap and they came in quickly. As long as you're not expecting to glow half as bright at the pictures on the package, then you're good to go. Some of the colors reacted quite well, others, not so much.THeyre ok - just not as bright under the black light as I wouldve hoped. Almost every type of makeup we found was the same - really bright in the pictures - not so much in person.Bought these specifically for a black-light race event. Everything on me glowed except the paint. Good for face paint, but not really for UV.
