Electric Standing Adjustable Stand Up Height Adjustable Sit to Stand Home Office Motorized Rising Workstation Raising Desk with Drawers Storage Monitor Shelf
This desk is exactly what I was looking for at a really fair price point for the quality. I got the 55" version with 3 drawers because that fit perfectly into my space, and I really needed the extra storage. It's not "real" wood of course, it's that really heavy type of MDF material with a sort of "plastic" feel to the finish, however I am okay with that since it provides a nice smooth writing service and cuts the cost of this desk to be actually affordable for my budget, plus it visually looks pretty good. It all seems to be made well - I very carefully inspected all the pre-drilled holes before starting assembly as some prior reviews mentioned they found splits or damage in these areas, but found everything to be perfectly sound on the one I received. Do be warned, due to the materials used it is extremely heavy, however I don't consider that a terrible thing once the assembly is done and it's in place where you want it (although the weight did mean I had to call a friend over to help me finish the assembly, since getting the legs on and flipping it over on my own safely was out of the question).Based on prior reviews, I knew the assembly would likely be a bit challenging, and it definitely wasn't the easiest, but I am not very handy and still managed to make it work (with a little help from a friend just for the parts that required heavy lifting). There are lots of steps, but they are fairly well explained in the diagrams and not overly complicated. The most difficult part was the lifting required, as I mentioned, so make sure whoever is assembling this can comfortably lift and manipulate around 100 lbs. It's probably doable for one fairly strong person to handle it alone, but the length and shape make it a bit unwieldy to flip around even if the weight isn't a problem. It did take me several hours to get it all put together, however I was assembling it throughout my workday in between other tasks, so I think that time estimate is not terribly reliable for most people. I think if it was my sole focus I could have finished it in about 2 hours. It came with all the tools needed to assemble (the provided screwdriver even had a slightly magnetized tip which was quite helpful), however I found it much easier to finish tightening certain troublesome screws when using my own ratcheting screwdriver. Your mileage may vary.Once the desk is built, it seems to be quite sturdy and should serve me well as a full time WFH employee. The motor is really quiet. I tested it by lifting/lowering multiple times and it seems to work very well with no issues so far. The display does go to sleep if left alone for a bit, so you may have to press a button twice to get it to respond (one press to wake it up, again for the actual command). Setting up the height memory is quite simple with the provided instructions. Photos show the completed desk set at my preferred standing and sitting heights - I am not very tall as you can probably tell (5'3") but this thing seems to have quite a wide height range available so should work even for much taller or shorter folks. I am hopeful it will last a while! The only thing to be aware of (besides the weight) is that this version is a split top, like most desks of this type, so in the interest of longevity, you'll want to be cautious with the amount of weight you apply to the front edge (including how much heavy stuff you keep in the lower drawer). There is a seam where the two halves meet, however it is quite far back (right in front of the back shelves) so it doesn't interfere with writing or mouse use for me. Overall seems to be a really great option for a sturdy adjustable desk with lots of features at a reasonable price.
