These are solid and a great investment depending on needs. I typically just use them for 2 ton vehicles and got these because I just do not want to trust the typical cheap 2 ton jack stands with my life. These do have wires holding the pins but even if they brake over time, there are still holders for the pins. There are also nice solid carrying handles.NOTE: When you remove from the box, the wire connected to the pins have packing between it and the jack. It would not be difficult to break the wire when unpacking if you keep pulling when it doesn't want to all come out at once. Make sure you look inside and remove any cardboard, packing materials before using that muscle to debox them.
