I bought this suit for use as a low level meet suit (dual meets, etc).I wanted to race in a good suit, but nothing super expensive like a FSPro or LZR.So far it's been really good. It feels and fits fairly identical to the Fastskin Pro jammer - and at half the price!Only thing I don't like is it got a rip in the crotch after about 3-4 meets. Having owned a number of competition suits in my time, I know that they don't last forever; however, it shouldn't rip that early. I only swim free and backstroke in it, so I am not sure how the rip came to be. But oh well, I would be more concerned if it was a $300 suit. So, all in all, this is a good suit and I would recommend it for anyone who wants a decently fast suit for a very exceptional price.Bought my second TYR Tracer Light recently in preparation for an international masters competition. When I went to put it on for the first time, as I pulled the drawstrings together - the fabric ripped for 2 inches along the edge of the hem. This left a 2 inch gaping hole across the front where the fabric was no longer being held in by the drawstring. Completely unusable in a competition! TYR customer service (both live chat & email) dutifully replied that they were unable to help me other than to say the item was under warranty and that if I sent them a picture & proof of purchase they would process a warranty claim. Not very satisfying advice, given that I was several thousand miles away and needed a replacement suit in a few days. Hence, I was left having to compete using my backup suit ( a 1 year old suit) which completely defeated the point of purchasing the new one.Clearly, TYR has some quality control issues. So, if you buy one of their suits, be very careful and verify that the suit has no manufacturing defects before you take it to a competition. This suit i was weary of because i saw HD photos of this suit online and the lines going all throughout the suit made it sort of sketchy for me. One major problem i though i was going to have was the lines. I thought it was going to slow me down a lot, but actually having the suit in hand the lines were very low profile. I had a winter age group meet a few months ago and WOW i dropped 1.7 seconds on my 100 free, 1.2 seconds on my 200 back and i shaved a .68 on my 50 free. This suit is great! I recommend this suit to people with medium experience. For people with MAJOR experience can try on the Carbon Pro by Arena or the LZR by Speedo. For people with minor experience, i recommend the AquaBlade also by Speedo or the TYR Fusion 2. I hope my review helped many of you! Keep Calm, and Swim OnStay away from this suit if you're a regular swimmer. We purchased these suits for a team and they have lost their elasticity and color after using a few times. We called TYR directly and they rep stated, "...well, you should have educated yourselves about the uniform. They don't last more than 6 swim meets." Quite frankly, I think this person was rude. We could not find anywhere that made this assertion. They must have the fine print somewhere in their warehouse. To say the least, this has been a DISASTROUS purchase. We did fund raising to purchase this more expensive suit and now we have been relegated to running to the local athletic store to purchase suits to complete the year. A couple of years ago we purchased Nike swim wear and did not encounter this problem. Buyer beware! This is a great entry level suite. However, at the top of the suite where the drawstrings come out of the top band my son’s suite ripped open after one race. Once that happened he said he would get big bubbles on his flip turns at his state meet. His friend’s suite also had the same issue. Both suits were sent back for a replacement. I caution you to be careful with this suite, especially around the draw sting, since it appears to be a weakness or flaw in the design.buy all the tooling for swimming this brand and the truth here in vanezuela is very difficult to almost impossible, I used the speedo and truth as to finish the seams is impressive and the way the material remains in the body are I recommend this unique swimsuit.advice, my problem was size 34 and I bought utilazarlo recommended a size smaller than usual, in my case was not so, it suits me a little tight but I think that the use may better fitthe fabric is not strech is 70% nylon and 30% spandex so they have to do it your measurements before buying but I'm sure you will not regretPurchased this for my son who wore it to his high school Sectionals meet. He usually wears a size 30 for practice and regular meets, and after debating going down a size as the manufacturer suggests, I ended up going with size 30. It fits very snug, and barely covers his bottom when he bends over to dive in. My son likes this suit; he says it helps prevent fatigue. He will wear it for the States coming up.Very tight if you aren't used to jammers. They feel like butter in the water! Minimal crotch space so comfort isn't high but again, you don't notice when you're flying through the water.
