This was very high quality and easy to put together. Many of the reviews for similar items express concern that the bolts and holes don't like up properly, not so with this one. I thought it was well machined and all of the bolts fit in where they were supposed to.It only took me about 10 minutes total to put together. There are no real directions but it's pretty intuitive. The only potentially confusing thing is that there are two types of bolts: one with a plastic head that screw directly into threads on the unit, then two bolts with a metal head that connect through the unit with a wing nut. The metal/wing nut combo goes on the unpadded bars that run up and down at the base (presumably so you can fold the unit for transport). Everything else is connected with the plastic headed bolts.I'll also echo the tip from another commenter: when installing the little bars that separate the guitars, remove the padding from each to expose the metal underneath (it just pulls off by hand). It will be significantly easier to screw the bars on that way, then replace the padding.
