Lucky me: I had absolutely no issues assembling this dust fox thing. It was well packaged, well packed, every piece well wrapped, all hardware was included, and it went together without a hitch. The way it is manufactured is "down and dirty", no deburring, but was precise enough. It went together with the normal assembly aggravation, and will serve its purpose for many years to come. A magnetic screwdriver tip helped in assembly, I couldn't get the screws started with just my fingers, it took a little muscle to get them aligned and started. The materials are heavy and solid (don't count the hardware and leveling feet, which are minimal viable quality). My 4" dust collector hose and fittings fit fine with no issues. That yellow "nozzle" thing is cast, heavy, and I can't imagine it will collect anything past a couple of inches, so it is re-purposed as my new floor sweep. Instead of it, I attached a Woodriver dust hood (see picture). Some of the reviews said that the knob that mount the cannon on top is not sufficient. That was not true on the item I received- the knob with stud is very sufficient and heavy duty . TO correct the issue of the "cannon tube" not staying in place: I added a large diameter flat washer against the knob then cut 2 thin rubber washers and placed them on either side of the slotted mounting before installing the knob . The rubber washers provide friction that locks it tight and eliminates the cannon's position from slipping. THe friction from the washers is suffient to hold the 4" hose and the dust hood.I'm very satisfied with the setup and would recommend it to all my rowdy woodworking friends and wood buy it again.
