Livex Lighting 50683-91 Midtown 3-Light Bathroom Vanity Light Fixture, Brushed Nickel Finish - Perfect for Bathroom, Powder Room, and Dressing Area Lighting

This fixture is beautiful and has the cylindrical globes that are popular. I did not keep it for our master bathroom, however, because of concerns with the globes: (1) The glass is an absolutely gorgeous clear with vertical ridges, but is thin like a delicate crystal goblet. (2) They are narrow, so it would be a bit tricky to clean the inside, which I expect would be needed regularly since they are clear. (The globe dimensions overall are 5-1/4" x 1-15/16", and the top part that fits into the fixture is 1-9/16" including the rubbery coating.) (3) Rather than being secured in the fixture with screws, they have a milky rubbery coating that is applied so there is a spiral groove that enables the globe to screw in--something I had never seen (see the attached close-up picture). I need to mount this fixture with globes pointing down, which raised a question of how secure this method is. (4) Since they are not a standard size, I called Livex to ask about buying replacement globes, thinking I would need to have a couple extra on hand in case they were discontinued. They are over $20 each. I ended up buying a less beautiful fixture that has standard size globes.
