The danger of buying things online that are primarily valued for color is the variety of display variables. The image attached to this listing is vibrant and deeply saturated; the rug that arrived was softer, almost heathered, both lighter and more subtle. It is gorgeous. The pile is thick and soft, and my children have already taken up residence in different places rather than decamping to the rug this replaced. The wide variety of colors harmonize while making possible a large number of decorating options. I'm thrilled with it, and think it was more than a value for the price.EDITED: After a few days, and worse into further time, it is shedding like crazy. We're vacuuming huge balls of fuzzy fibers from across the room as well as against pieces of furniture. Although I maintain my appreciation for the beauty of the rug and how comfortable it is in our living room, my family has expressed fear it may disappear if it keeps shedding at this rate.
