So many snare stands don't get low enough for those deeps toms, deep snares, or for guys that need a bit more air to whip that stick before it strikes the head (me). This thing gets nice and low as the basket is offset from the main tripod. The arms of the basket wiggled a bit due to rivets that could probably be tighter, and seemed a bit flimsy or noisy - but once the drum rested on it, it stopped and was sturdy.
