The VAMO Life We are paddlers, riders, surfers and people on the move. We go where we can be outside and make gear we use ourselves. Let's Go! Previous page The VAMO life...Let's Go! What makes our products unique? We use everything we make. We play with it, test it out and find the breaking point. Then we make it stronger so you don't have to worry about it. Who are we? We are a team of individuals that love being outside. We came together from all different walks of life and created a new way of living. We are sharing that with others, it's called the VAMO life...Let's Go play together. What problem are we solving? We weren't happy with what we were using...problem solved! Next page
VAMO UV Board covers are made with 3/8" thick 4 way stretch UV protectant nylon/lycra. VAMO board covers keep your board up to 30 degrees cooler in the sun and keeps your board from oxidizing (discoloring). It also protects from the degradation of inflatable paddleboard PVC and keeps it like new. That’s the long way of saying, let VAMO soak up the suns harmful rays not your nice shiny new paddleboard, surf board, inflatable ISUP, kayak or canoe.
Easy To Use: VAMO UV board covers slip on and off in seconds. No need to mess around with straps and ties. Cover leaves hand slot available to easily carry your SUP, ISUP, kayak or canoe with the cover still on. The double stitched enclosure around the 360 degree bungee makes for a custom fit that slips on in seconds. Fin slot allows you to save time by leaving the fin in your board.
Travel Safe Protection: Double lined nose and tail add durability and increase padding for protection from any bumps along the way from your garage to the water. The 4 way stretch lycra and inseam bungee cord keeps the cover snug on the rails of your kayak or paddleboard for safe transportation at all speeds. The board cover remains tight while your board is tied to a roof rack.
UV protectant 4-Way stretch fabric conforms to round or displacement hull nose boards. Material is moisture resistant and machine washable. High quality fabric will last many years. Our Standup Paddleboard Covers are available in multiple lengths, and can be used to protect inflatable, foam, epoxy and carbon paddleboards, kayaks, and surfboards.
PADDLEBOARD NOT INCLUDED
I have a 10"6' Isle versa SUP that I needed to cover because anytime I put it on the ground, it gets scratched. I bought the larger one because I read other reviewers saying the one that goes up to my board length didn't actually fit. The bigger one works great! More $ than I wanted to spend for a stupid cover, but it does its job.The cover has a built in elastic cord sewn around the edge of the fabric which allows the cover to form around many board shapes. I have the 10'6 to 12' cover on my 10'6 VESL SurfSup that is 34" wide with no problems. On highway speeds there is little noise from the excess fabric. The down side is (1) cost: a custom bag at your local farmers market will cost an you an extra $20. (2) fin opening: the fabric stretches and exposes a lot of the board surrounding the center fin. This can be solved by stuffing in two wash clothes around the opening. Also there is no option to close the opening if you are using a 3 - 5 fin setup without a large Center fin. I will most likely have my local tailor sew the opening closed since I dont use a large center tail fin. This isn't a deal breaker but it does add to the total cost.I was really hopeful when I first received this. It fit my board perfectly, and was much easier to put on and take off than my cumbersome giant bag. Unfortunately, it ripped within a month of getting it. It appears it simply wasn’t made for driving around, particularly on the highway. Pretty disappointed overall.I have 2 SUP boards:12'6" and 10'6" and this sock fits both beautifully. I've traveled several hours on the road at freeway speeds with not much more wind sound than with no cover. Kinda wish I had 2 of them but they are a bit pricey in my opinion however the quality is good. The true proof of quality will be how well it holds up over the next 2-3 years as I've only used it 3 times.I expect to get at least 3 years out of it as I'm a seasonal SUP'er and only paddle 5 months of the year.My board is 14 feet long by 34 inches wide and 6 inches tall. This cover just manages to wrap all the way around it. I’m saving a lot of money and space using this over a board bag.I have had 2 types of these slip on covers for my 10' SUP and this one is a very thin material and deteriorates rapidly with regular use, doubt it will last a full yr, especially if left outside in the sun. For the record, I am on Kauai and use it regularly during the Winter months so it would last longer if kept in the garage on the rack, or perhaps in a more friendly mainland environment but that defeats the purpose of using it weekly. The CoreDry is better has a little more material and lasts much longer but even that I have trouble getting 3yrs.It is a great idea, very convenient. just wish they would make em in a heavier material. These fit great and do a good job protecting our SUPs. Advice: It might seem like it's not going to fit, but put it on over the fins first and stretch it over the nose of the board. Then pull it over the sides. Fits like a glove. Also, don't try to carry your board without reaching inside and putting your hands directly on the board. If you hold it over the top of the cover it'll slide around in your hands and you can drop it. I was warned about that by other SUPers and glad I got that heads-up. ????Cover is easy to useProduct stretches nicely over my wider 10'6" board and holds tight with strong fabric, stitching and elastics. Doubled fabric on the nose protects somewhat against rocks and impacts during transport. Remains open fairly wide on the bottom of the paddle, which is OK if used for roof-rack transport to laid on the beach or grass. Fabric is not water proof but instead breathable, can be used over a wet board which will dry through the fabric.Issues: The hole for the fin is too large and tends to move open up onto the rear of the board. I have to clip the rear of the cover with a carabiner to prevent this from occurring during transport. Very expensive when compared to other fully padded and higher quality board bags.J'ai une Maui allaround 10'6". J'ai acheté la 9-10'6". Fit parfaitement. Très facile à installer. Je ne comprends vraiment pas ceux qui mentionnent avoir eu de la difficulté à l'installer ?! Très facile! Reste à voir si cela tien bien lors du transport. You need to double check orders before u send out as this is missing the big fin for board and due to that mixing cant be youed
